Coach Kim Ensey received her BA in Sports Psychology with a Minor in Coaching from Adams State University. She played for the Grizzlies during her time there where she was named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All Conference team and Team captain during her senior season. She later worked towards and received her Masters in Sports Management from the United Stated Sports Academy.
Kim is currently in her 1st year as the varsity head coach at Chino Hills High School. She spent the past 4 years at Cerritos High School where she led the Dons to 2 straight Suburban League titles as well as a 605 League title. She is also the owner and founder of Empire Fastpitch alongside Kenny Smith. Her training center, AMP Sports Training is based in Anaheim, Ca.
Previous coaching experience includes the past 4 years at Cerritos High School where she led the Dons to 2 straight Suburban League titles as well as a 605 League title. 4 years with the So Cal Choppers, 4 years with the Firecrackers Softball organization, 2 years with Team Primus, 4 years as the varsity coach at Edison High School, and 2 years as the varsity coach at Santa Fe High School.
Kim is the Recruiting Coordinator and owner of Empire Fastpitch and will host and conduct the major combine events for the organization. She also serves as the go to for coaches and players in the organization regarding the recruiting process.
Coach Kim's professional life connects with softball beyond coaching. She is the West Coast Territory Event Director for College Sports Evaluations. This is a new company that selected her to be the lead in So Cal and the West Coast based on her connection with the travel ball and college communities nationally.
Kim is currently the Player Liason and Coordinator for the Premier Girls Fastpitch High School All American Game. For the past 3 years, this game has included the future stars of college softball and has drawn attention around the country while being broadcasted live on ESPN each year.
